Mary Martucci, MSS, LCSW

Counselor Summary

Hello! I’m Mary!

MSS, LCSW

A crucial component of Mary Martucci’s services for her clients is her real-world experience. She understands the difficulties and rewards that all families experience. She grew up in a large family in which every day brought the unexpected. She is now taking this journey with her own family. Hers has been a hands-on professional career. Her work with clients and their affected families in the social welfare system, psychiatric hospital setting, hospice and community clinics has brought her into their homes, their schools and any place that is necessary to restore their well-being. Her perspective is a practical one. Her treatment style is tailored to meet the individual need through a holistic approach using elements of positive psychology, cognitive behavior therapy and solution focused therapy. Art, music and play are also incorporated into the therapeutic process when appropriate.

For more than 15 years, Mary has worked with all age ranges – young children, adolescents, young adults, middle aged adults and older adults. Her clients and their families have come to her with issues of abuse, trauma, addiction, family conflict, parenting struggles, relationship conflict, post-partum, grief/loss and life transitions. She has the skill-set to help them navigate these crises and struggles.

Mary has the solid educational background required for effective social work in that she graduated from DeSales University with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and from Bryn Mawr College with a master’s degree in social services. Mary is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She combines her education with her practical years of therapist-with-client contact to gently guide her clients to healthier, more productive lives. Her approach is refreshing and supportive but also candid and down-to-earth.

Mary had spent the initial parts of her career as a social worker steering, advising and aiding clients admitted into the child welfare system with Lehigh County Children & Youth. Mary went on to community outpatient clinics and hospice with Lehigh Valley Health Network. In 2018 Mary settled in private practice with Bethlehem Counseling Associates. She has devoted herself to clients in many different settings throughout her career including: pediatric in-patient psychiatric hospital, residential program, in-home therapy services, hospice care and outpatient clinic settings. She has always connected with her clients on deep levels and will continue to do that as she accompanies them on their quest for satisfaction and contentment in their life.
